June 28th.  St. Austell.

A name known to generations of travellers on the way to Penzance and Land’s End; like many early Celtic missionary-hermit saints, he came from South Wales, and continued into Brittany, where he died at St-Méen (6th century).  The Cornish town of St. Austell grew up round his religious foundation there.
