You may qualify for the Champion Amateur Local Horseman class at 2008 Denmead Horse Show (cf website) through a combination of Ring 1 and Ring 3classes - please wear a white armband.

Entries close Wednesday before Show – please check on website for changes/cancellations due to adverse weather conditions

RING 1
RIDDEN SHOWING – 9.30 start

* lead rein may be used. Must be genuine lead rein rider

  1. *Best Turned Out. Ridden / In-hand. Horse/tack & general neatness only to be judged. Special award for*Best Plaiting
  2. *Natives. Registered / Unregistered.
  3. *Children's Pony. judged 25% rider, 50% on pony's behaviour / suitability, 25% conformation. No height / rider age restrictions. a) lead rein b) off lead rein.
  4. Ridden Col'd / Appaloosa / Spotted / Palomino / Dun / Roan
  5. Ridden Veteran 16 years plus
  6. LUNCH (approx12.45-1.30pm)

  7. Open Show Horse/Pony
  8. Novice Showing
  9. Ridden Finebreds
  10. Cobs, Heavies and / or Hairies
  11. My Pretty Pony or Elegant Equine Dress your horse up to look as pretty as possible – baubles, bangles, beads & anything else you like!
  12. Equine Judge would like to take home
  13. Prettiest Mare & Handsomest Gelding Ridden / In hand

IN HAND SHOWING – RING 2
1.00 pm start

  1. Natives. Registered / Unregistered
  2. Youngstock. 1, 2, 3 year old
  3. Miniatures/Small ponies 42" & under any age.
  4. Hairies & / or Heavies. Any age.
  5. Coloured / Appaloosa / spotted / palomino / dun / roan. Any age.
  6. Veterans.16 years +. Please show age.
  7. Best Condition.
  8. Finebreds. = arabs / anglos / TB / partbred / Iberian / warmbloods etc. Any age.

NOVICE JUMPING – RING 2

There will be Clear Round between the smaller classes at the specific height starting with 18" at 9.15 am

  1. *Lead rein / accompanied – 18" (riders may not enter other jumping classes) Approx 9.45 am
  2. Novice 2' never to have placed in the first 3 in jumping classes at 2 ft or over. Approx 11.30 am

CLEAR ROUND at approx 2'3" until 12.30

RING 3 – WORKING HUNTER & JUMPING
(over a Rustic / Hickstead style course)

Start 9.15 am. There is no practice jump instead the designated practice jump in the arena may be jumped.

  1. Novice Working Hunter – Zenith Style class set at 2ft. Will be judged on the way you ride the course. For further details look at the Ponies (UK) website.
  2. Open Working Hunter – Zenith Style class set at 2ft 6in.
  3. Clear Round until 12.30 pm

  4. Open 2'3" – (with jump off)
  5. Take Your Own Line – 2'3" – 2'6" Every jump must be jumped once but in your preferred order. Against the clock
  6. Open 2'6"
  7. Accumulator w Joker – 6 jumps start 2ft. Each jump carries one more point than the last. The Joker is an alternative to the last jump and carries double points. If knocked down these will be deducted. Highest score wins.
  8. Open 2'9" one round against clock

If time Bucket Jumping – Entry on field £3

RING 4 - HANDY PONY
10.30am onwards
