CLASSES
- CHAMPION AMATEUR LOCAL HORSEMAN. for the Philomena Beecher Memorial Trophy (Perpetual Challenge). Open to all local riders living or stabled within 7.5 miles of the showground and composed of 3 parts. If it is your stabling that qualifies rather than your home address please include it on your entry .
- Dressage - by Entry into class either class 37,38,39(please bring score sheet to the arena)
- Jumping. Entry into either class 74,75, 76 or Clear Round jumping. (a signed Qualification card must be brought to the arena)
- In hand showing /handling (12.30 Ring 6)
During this phase which will be run as an ordinary in hand class the judge will speak to you about the other 2 phases, examine your 'evidence' and ask a few questions about your horse/routine.
Competitor may bypass one or both of the morning phases if he has 'qualified' at Denmead Little Show and obtained a signed 'evidence' card from the judge. DLS classes that count are the Working Hunter Pony or Working Hunter which will bypass both phases and the Family Pony or Riding Horse/Pony which will bypass the dressage phase.
The winner will qualify for the Supreme Championship at the end of the day.

- THE 2'3' OPTIMUM TIME CHALLENGE. A one round competition the winner to be the clear round closest to the optimum time (based on 300 metres per minute).

- THE BENDALL TIME & TEST COMPETITION. . Winner to receive the Charles Bendall Memorial Challenge Trophy plus £15, 2nd to receive £9, 3rd £6
This is a one round competition the course being divided into 2 phases. The first phase is the speed section sat at an average height of 2'9' (time allowed 320 m per minute). Should any faults be incurred the bell will ring and the competitor retires otherwise they continue straight on into the Test (power) section consisting of more difficult obstacles at a height of up to 3'3'. The winners are decided by the faults in the Test section ' if there is a tie it is decided on the time section.
- THE WILSON HOUSE HI MONEY HI JUMP.
A 4 jump course increasing in height / width in each round. Untimed. Starting at 3'.
Winner to receive trophy plus prize money of £70, 2nd = £40, 3rd = £25, 4th = £15
